Refund Policy – Cloud Cabin

This Refund Policy explains when refunds or credits may be available for services purchased from Cloud Cabin. By purchasing or using our services, you agree to this policy alongside our Terms and Conditions.

Cloud Cabin provides digital services that are provisioned immediately or incur irreversible upstream costs. As a result, most services are non-refundable once provisioned, except where expressly stated below or where required by UK law.

If you are a consumer, nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights under UK law.


1. General Refund Rules

  • Refunds are available only in the circumstances described in this policy.
  • No refunds are provided for change of mind, customer error, lack of technical knowledge, or failure to use the service.
  • Refund requests must be submitted to support@cloudcabin.com.
  • Refund eligibility is assessed at Cloud Cabin’s discretion, subject to this policy and applicable law.

2. Refund Eligibility by Service Type

2.1 Shared Web Hosting

We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on new shared hosting accounts only. This applies to the first purchase of a shared hosting plan and does not apply to renewals, upgrades, or additional services.

Refunds under this guarantee are not available if:

  • You have violated our Terms and Conditions or Acceptable Use Policy
  • Your account has been suspended or terminated for abuse, spam, or non-payment
  • You have previously received a refund for any Cloud Cabin hosting service

2.2 VPS Services

VPS services are non-refundable once provisioned. VPS resources incur immediate and irreversible upstream costs and cannot be cancelled or reversed after activation.

2.3 Domain Services

All domain-related services are non-refundable, including:

  • Domain registrations
  • Renewals
  • Transfers
  • WHOIS privacy or ID protection

Domain transactions are processed with registries and registrars and cannot be reversed once submitted.

2.4 SSL Certificates

SSL certificates are non-refundable once issued, activated, or installed, as they are digitally provisioned and tied to specific domains.

2.5 Licences and Add-Ons

Add-on services (including software licences, backup services, dedicated IP addresses, premium email services, and similar features) are non-refundable once activated or provisioned.


3. Consumer Cancellation Rights (Where Applicable)

If you are a consumer purchasing services online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

Where you request immediate provisioning of a service during the cooling-off period, and the service is fully or partially provided, you may be required to pay for the portion of the service already supplied, or the right to cancel may no longer apply for certain time-critical digital services (such as domains and SSL certificates), as permitted by law.


4. Upgrades, Downgrades, and Billing Adjustments

  • Service upgrades are billed on a prorated basis and are non-refundable.
  • Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. No refunds or credits are issued for unused time.
  • Early cancellation of any service does not entitle you to a refund for the remaining billing period.

5. Automatic Renewals

Refunds are not issued for automatically renewed services.

It is your responsibility to:

  • Cancel services you no longer require before the renewal date
  • Disable auto-renew where applicable
  • Maintain valid payment details

Failure to receive renewal reminders does not constitute grounds for a refund.


6. Service Credits

In rare cases of prolonged service disruption caused solely by Cloud Cabin, we may offer service credits at our discretion.

Service credits:

  • Are not guaranteed
  • Are not monetary refunds
  • Have no cash value
  • Are non-transferable
  • May expire if unused

7. Fraud, Abuse, and Chargebacks

If an account is involved in fraud, abuse, spam, or violations of our Terms, no refund will be issued.

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute may:

  • Result in immediate suspension of all services
  • Void any refund eligibility
  • Lead to permanent account termination

8. How Refunds Are Issued

Approved refunds:

  • Are issued to the original payment method only
  • Are processed in GBP
  • May take up to 10 working days to appear, depending on the payment provider

We cannot issue refunds to alternative payment methods, third parties, or different accounts.


9. Non-Transferability

Refunds, service credits, and promotional values are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash or applied to other accounts or services unless expressly stated.


10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be published on our website with the effective date.
